Citygarden Achieves National Recognition
We are not an awards driven company. Applying for awards can be a very time consuming task, and we'd rather spend our time working on current projects than living in the past. However every once in awhile a specific project cries out for some attention. Citygarden certainly fits the bill. Completed in June of 2009, Citygarden received a Keystone Award from the AGC (Associated General Contractors) of St. Louis as one of the area's top construction projects. That was nice. But just a couple of weeks ago, Citygarden was recognized with an AON BuildAmerica Award at the AGC National Convention in Orlando as one of the nation's top fifteen construction projects completed in 2009. Obviously, this wouldn't have been possible without the vision and generosity of the Owner - the Gateway Foundation - or the amazing creativity of the Architects - Nelson Byrd Woltz of Charlottesville, VA & Studio | Durham of St. Louis, MO. We are just thankful to have been given the opportunity to build this one-of-a-kind project and to work with such an amazing team, for the benefit of our great city. For a little more detail, the project was featured the March/April edition of Constructor, the national magazine of the AGC.
