SIZE & VARIETY OF WORK: We are a mid-size St. Louis-based construction manager/contractor known for constructing more than our share of the iconic buildings and hardscapes within our home market. We work extensively on many types of buildings with a heavy emphasis on repeat business. Our projects range in size from $1 million to over $100 million.
STABILITY & RESILIENCE: Co-founded by Joe Shaughnessy in 1972, BSI Constructors is currently led by second generation Shaughnessy family members along with several other employee owners. In the highly cyclical construction industry, BSI has been profitable in each of our 50 years in business, except for one. We have had salary increases, a bonus program, and profit-sharing distributions in each of the last 30 years. Staff turnover is well below industry averages, with eighteen past and current employees who have surpassed the 25-year mark with BSI.
REPUTATION AMONG PEERS: BSI is a six-time recipient of the “General Contractor of the Year Award” issued by the Midwest Council of the American Subcontractors Association. BSI was the first general contractor in OSHA Region VII to be admitted to the prestigious Voluntary Participation Program (VPP).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OVERVIEW

BONUS PROGRAM: BSI employees participate in a substantial annual bonus program.
PAID TIME OFF (PTO): Generous PTO policy allows unused days to be carried over to the following year. Alternatively, the employee may elect to be paid for unused PTO. An additional day of PTO is available for approved volunteer activities.
COMPANY PROVIDED INSURANCE: BSI provides a comprehensive medical insurance plan with low deductibles and co-pays. Individual employee insurance premiums are paid 100% by BSI.
