BSI Executive Receives Prestigious Award
BSI is proud to have the second-ranked Civil Engineering Program in the nation recognize one of their own as a "2011 Distinguished Alumnus". Joe Kaiser, Executive Vice President at BSI Constructors, was recently recognized by the University of Illinois Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association for his “superior technical and administrative leadership demonstrated in the management of construction projects in the St. Louis area, including technically complex facilities, significant architectural structures and major renovations and restorations.” The Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Achievement Award "recognizes professional accomplishments or unique contributions to society by alumni of the department.” (University of Illinois website).
Kaiser has been with BSI Constructors for twenty-five years, and has overseen in excess of $1.3 Billion in construction, including many projects, which have received local and national awards. In addition, he is active in the Associated General Contractors, where he has taught more than 25 evening courses for project managers and superintendents, and where he currently serves on the executive committee of the board of directors.
The University of Illinois Civil Engineering School was recognized by U.S. News & World Report in 2010 as the #2 Civil Engineering Program in the United States. Congratulations Joe!
