Construction Moving Forward at Rapid Pace

Progress continues at the new Anna House. The roofing is complete, windows are installed, masonry walls are well underway, and drywall installation has begun. Work has been ongoing inside the new facility to provide new utility services, a reconfiguered cafe grille, gift shop, and office areas. Construction is on track to be finished in early 2013.

Bob Jilke, Project Manager- The project is moving forward at a rapid pace and on schedule. The concrete foundations and slabs are poured, and the steel structure is rising quickly. Work is ongoing inside the existing facility to provide new utility services, a reconfigured café grille, gift shop, and office areas. It is an exciting experience to be working alongside many of the residents of the existing building. Our workers are enjoying discussions with the residents which provide opportunities to explain the operations of the construction site. We are looking forward to enclosing the roof and walls, and starting exterior masonry construction soon!

The New Anna House Skilled Nursing Facility

BSI was excited to get to work on The Sarah Community's new Anna House Skilled Nursing Facility last month. This new, innovative facility will join the senior living revolution by integrating the new "neighborhood" design concept. The neighborhood design allows seniors the comfort of a family like atmosphere in the form of a private residence while still receiving personal care and attention.

The new Anna House will have six neighborhoods that will house 16-18 residents each. Each neighborhood will be self-contained and have its own front door, kitchen, dining room, hearth rooms, spa, support services and porch. The facility will tie into the Naomi/Veronica house complex constructed by BSI back in 1998, and include a new 200-seat chapel for the entire community.
